Composers / Edvard Grieg / Places catalog
Peters Edition
The chief publisher of Grieg’s works and his ‘banker’. From 1863, the composer contacted the owner, Max Abraham, on business matters, then after his death, his nephew, Henri Hinrichsen. The Peters building has not altered since Grieg’s day, and one room is furnished in the style of the 1880s (a room for meetings and practice). Grieg had a little pied-à-terre on the top floor here, where he willingly stayed. The local Grieg Society uses these rooms for its meetings and events.
