Church of St Thomas

Together with the Church of St Nicholas, the Church of St Thomas, from the times when J. S. Bach worked here as cantor, was a European centre for church music. One of Grieg’s teachers, Moritz Hauptmann, lived by this church, and the future composer would often call on him; he also listened to concerts there.
