Trasa Israel
In a great many of his works, Arne Nordheim made use of texts from the Old Testament, and his war-time experiences and his friendships with people of Jewish extraction fuelled a strong interest in the history of the Jewish people. Thanks to the radio journalist Yisrael Daliot, he had the opportunity to visit Israel and present many of his works there, performed by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and on radio. (jc)
