Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music

The Danish cellist Jakob Kullberg and the New Music Orchestra under the baton of Szymon Bywalec recorded Nordheim’s cello concerto Tenebrae (1982) onto disc (ACD5075) in the concert hall of Katowice Music Academy in December 2010. The work was originally written to a commission from Mstislav Rostropovich, but on this disc it is recorded in a version for cello and sinfonietta, arranged by Arne Nordheim and Szymon Bywalec. (jc)
