In 1987, Witold Lutosławski was the chief guest of the Baldwin Wallace FOCUS Contemporary Music Festival, initiated in 1984 with the aim of popularising new music. In keeping with tradition, at the end of the guest’s week-long stay, filled with rehearsals and symposia, a series of concerts of his music were given by students of Baldwin Wallace University.
