Szczecin

After Lutosławski’s death, from 1995, a Festival of Contemporary Music in his name was held in Szczecin for more than a decade. At the beginning of 2013, the Polish-German International Lutosławski Youth Orchestra inaugurated its work in the city.

The composer visited Szczecin just once, in February 1972, invited to a chamber concert featuring his works that was organised in connection with the tenth anniversary of the Szczecin Music Society.
