PWM EDITION
Lutosławski was a frequent visitor to Cracow, most often to PWM, the publishing house which still represents him in Poland today. He was associated with PWM from the moment it was created, in 1945. It was that publishing house’s founder, Tadeusz Ochlewski, who urged him to write pedagogic works, the effects of which included the Folk Melodies and Bucolics for young pianists and the Dance Preludes for clarinettists. For many years, he was chair of the Publishing Committee. Above all, however, it was here that his works were published and the orchestral parts needed for performances and recordings were prepared.
