Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson

Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson (1832–1910), a Norwegian poet, writer, social activist and author of many cultural initiatives, the first Norwegian to receive the Nobel Prize in literature in 1903. In his home country he is considered as one of the four most distinguished Norwegian writers, together with Henrik Ibsen, Jonas Lie and Alexander Kielland.
