Kjell Bækkelund

Kjell Bækkelund (1930–2004), a Norwegian pianist, an activist popularizing the contemporary music, especially Scandinavian (world premieres). He debuted as an 8-year-old prodigy child. Distinguished with high honours and orders of all Scandinavian countries and several other European nations, a member of the Swedish Academy of Music, an essayist of “Verdens Gang”, a gourmet, well known also for his record number of farewell concerts.
