Charles Bodman Rae
Charles Bodman Rae (1955), an English pianist, composer, director, writer, currently a professor in Elder Conservatorium of Music in the University of Adelaide, a researcher of the works of Witold Lutosławski. In 1994 he published the monograph on the works of Lutosławski, The Music of Lutoslawski (London, 1994; Polish edition translated by Stanisław Krupowicz as Muzyka Lutosławskiego, Warsaw, 1996). Moreover, Rae is the author of the entry about Lutosławski in the English musical encyclopedia The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musician and several articles devoted to his works.
In 2004 he was a member of the jury of the W. Lutosławski Composer Competition.
