Karol Antoni Simon

Karol Antoni Simon (1781–1841) was the author of a Polish-German textbook entitled Nauka harmonii – Anweisung zum General Baß [Learning Harmony – A Guide to Figured Bass], which was published in Poznań in 1823. Chopin used this during his first years of studying under Józef Elsner. Simon’s theories were also highly regarded by Karol Kurpiński.
