Joanna Grudzińska
Joanna Grudzińska (1791–1831) of the Grzymała coat of arms was the daughter of Antoni Grudziński, the last owner of Chodzież. She profited from her title of Princess of Łowicz to marry Grand Duke Konstantin in 1820. As this was a morganatic marriage, Konstantin renounced his claim to the Russian throne (he was next in line after his older brother Alexander). Grudzińska’s sister Józefa was married to Wacław Gutakowski, adjutant of Tsar Alexander I and her sister Antonina was married to Gen. Dezydery Chłapowski, one of the leaders of the November Uprising.
