Zofia Kurpińska

Zofia Kurpińska née Brzowska (1800–1879) was an actress and singer associated with the Variety Theatre and the National Theatre. Kurpińska was a student of Wojciech Bogusławski. She married the composer Karol Kurpiński in 1815. Her brother was the composer, teacher and conductor Józef Brzowski, whose journal (1836–1837) is a valuable testimony of his many meetings with Chopin.
