Karol Ludwik Magnus
Karol Ludwik Magnus (1793–1834) was a Warsaw merchant and publisher of Swedish extraction. Magnus ran a shop in ul. Miodowa that sold music and instruments from 1828. His lithographic establishment published works by Franciszek Mirecki, Henryk Lentz, Józef Brzowski, Józef Elsner and Antoni Orłowski. His son, Wiktor Władysław, financed a monument to Chopin in Duszniki-Zdrój in 1897.
