Severine Tellefsen
Severine Tellefsen, née Bye (1839–1915) – Norwegian singer trained in Paris (taught for some time by François Delsarte). In 1858, she married Thomas Tellefsen. The couple performed together many times, and on account of Severine’s Parisian training, their programmes included arias from Italian and French operas, whilst her recitals not infrequently ended with traditional Norwegian songs or patriotic compositions by Halfdan Kjerulf.
