Delphin Alard

Jean-Delphin Alard (1815–1888) – French violinist and teacher, author of École du violin: méthode complète et progressive, published in Paris in 1844. His pupils included the brilliant violin virtuoso Pablo Sarasate. Alard, like Thomas Tellefsen, was a member of the Mozartists Club at the Hôtel Lambert.
