Casimir Ney
Casimir Ney (1801–1877) – real name Louis-Casimir Escoffler. A composer and one of the leading viola players of his day. He performed in chamber ensembles, including with the violinist Jean-Delphin Alard and the cellist Auguste Franchomme. He wrote a set of twenty-four preludes for viola, chamber works and also several transcriptions.
