Adam Stanisław Sapieha
Adam Stanisław Sapieha (1828–1903) – Polish prince, landowner and politician. He spent his early childhood in Paris and studied in London. He returned to Polish soil following the demise of the Spring of Nations in 1848. On the defeat of the January Uprising of 1863, he fled abroad from prison in Lwów, and a year later he was Commissar of the Polish National Government in France and the UK. Married to Jadwiga, née Sanguszko, he had nine children.
