Kristian Mantzius

Kristian Mantzius (1819–1879) – Danish actor. From 1837 to 1842, he studied theology at Copenhagen University, and in 1842 he made his stage debut in Holberg’s Erasmus Montanus on the boards of the Royal Danish Theatre. For almost thirty years, he performed in plays by Holstrup, Holberg and Ibsen (De unges Forbund – The League of Youth).
