Niels Ravnkilde
Niels Ravnkilde (1823–1890) – a Danish composer who spent most of his life in Italy, where he became one of the central figures of the Scandinavian artistic milieu. During Grieg’s first stay in Rome, he became closely acquainted with Ravnkilde, and the two men carried on lively correspondence after Grieg’s departure.
