Aleksander Rajchman

Aleksander Rajchman (1855–1915) – a journalist and theatre and music critic who worked with Warsaw newspapers and periodicals, including the Kurier Warszawski (from 1875). In 1883, he became the publisher and one of the editors of the Echo Muzyczne, Teatralne i Literackie (co-editor from 1884, editor from 1890 to 1907). He was one of the initiators of the founding of the Warsaw Philharmonic (1898, together with Emil Młynarski), of which he was artistic director until 1908. In 1914, he became director of the Warsaw Opera.
