Benjamin Feddersen (1823–1902) – a Danish writer and music teacher. A close friend of Grieg’s, he was the author of words to the composer’s songs (‘Til kirken hun vandrer’, ‘Claras sang’). Grieg dedicated to Feddersen his six Poetiske tonebilleder [Poetic tone pictures] for piano, Op. 3, composed in 1863.
