Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson

Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson (1832–1910) – one of the pre-eminent Norwegian writers, a politician and humanist. A leading figure in the cultural life of Norway and Europe. A winner of the Nobel Prize for literature (1903) and author of the Norwegian national anthem. He left a rich oeuvre: short stories, plays, poems, novels, articles, speeches and letters.
