Johan Halvorsen

Johan Halvorsen (1864–1935), a violinist and concertmaster, the third – apart from Grieg and Svendsen – renowned Norwegian composer of the late (neo)Romanticism. “Entry March of the Boyars” and Passacaglia for violin and viola belong to his most widely recognized compositions.
